Lomond Blue is a traditional dark blue tweed, close to a navy blue.
The Braemar is a variation on the traditional one-button fastening Argyllkilt jacket. Instead of the Argyll's gauntlet cuffs, it has a distinctive three button arrangement along the sleeve. This imitates the formal Prince Charlie jacket, and both are an echo of when rank insignia was worn on the cuff in military uniforms, until 1920. Like the Argyll, the Braemar is the standard day-wear kilt jacket, which is suitable for a variety of semi formal or formal occasions.
Our beautifully tailored Lomond Blue Tweed Braemar Jacket has the option of adding a matching waistcoat both of which are made from pure wool to give a luxurious feel.
Features:
Cloth braided epaulettes.
Imitation horn buttons
Single button fastening
Traditional Braemar three-button cuff
Internal pocket
Measuring Guide - When measuring for a jacket, it is worthwhile wearing the type of shirt that will be worn with the jacket.
In order to take your chest measurement, please measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape measure well under the arms.
Make sure this is not a tight measurement, and that you can get at least two fingers in between the tape measure and your chest.
It may also be worthwhile looking at the size label and fitting of any existing jackets to get an idea of what size you require.
