Welsh Book - Harris

Of ancient roots and particularly identified with Wales, ‘Harris’ is a name whose bearers have stamped an indelible mark from earliest times.

These range from the eighteenth century preacher Howell Harris, known as ‘The Apostle of Wales’, the American socialite Clara Hamilton Harris, who in 1865 witnessed the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, and Sir Arthur Harris, the Second World War air chief marshal known as ‘Bomber’ Harris, and the hell-raising actor Richard Harris.
